Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 May 2026

This policy explains what personal data CREATE Displays collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. CREATE Displays is operated by CREATE, a trading name based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the data described below.

The Service is sold business-to-business. The personal data we hold is mostly business contact data (the people who run the businesses that subscribe).

1. Data we collect

Data you give us directly

  • Sign-up / contact data: name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), and anything you write into a contact, trial, or onboarding form
  • Account data: the company details and admin passcode you set when you create an account
  • Billing data: billing name, billing email, billing address, VAT number where applicable, and the last 4 digits and expiry of the card you use. Full card numbers are processed and held by Stripe; we never see them
  • Content you upload: images, videos, text, brand colours, and the playlists you build. We store this so the Service can play it back

Data we collect automatically

  • Server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, time of request, requested URL, HTTP status, referrer. These are kept for security and rate-limiting
  • Form-submission metadata: page-load timestamp and submission timestamp (used to filter automated spam) and the IP address that submitted (used for our 3-per-hour rate limit)
  • Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics (GA4) collects anonymised page-view data — see the Cookie Policy

2. Why we collect it (legal basis)

3. Marketing

We do not sign customers up to a marketing newsletter by default. If we ever launch one, joining it will be opt-in and unsubscribing will be one click. We will not sell your details to anyone.

4. Who we share data with

We use a small number of third-party processors to run the Service. They process data on our instructions only, under data-processing agreements that meet UK GDPR requirements:

  • 20i — UK-based hosting and email infrastructure
  • Stripe — payment processing and billing portal
  • Google (Google Analytics) — anonymised website analytics, only loaded if you accept analytics cookies
  • Google (Fonts) — serves the web fonts the site uses; the fonts may set their own technical requests when the page loads

We will share your data with law enforcement, courts, regulators, or our legal advisors if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect our or your rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your data, ever.

5. International transfers

Most of our processors are in the UK, the EEA, or the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on either an adequacy decision (e.g. for the EEA) or on standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner.

6. How long we keep data

  • Account & content data: while your account is active. If you cancel, we keep account data for up to 90 days in case you want to reactivate, then delete it. Your uploaded content is deleted at the same time.
  • Billing records: 7 years, to comply with UK accounting and tax law
  • Server logs / form submissions: rotated and deleted within 90 days
  • Marketing or contact-form enquiries that don’t convert: up to 24 months, then deleted

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we no longer have a lawful basis to keep it
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent (for example analytics cookies)
  • Ask us to port your data to another provider
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact form. We will respond within one calendar month.

8. Security

We use HTTPS across the whole site, store passwords/passcodes hashed where applicable, restrict admin access by passcode, rate-limit form submissions and admin endpoints, and rely on UK-based hosting with regular security patching. No service is 100% secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the ICO without undue delay as required by law.

9. Children

The Service is sold to businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data about children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The most recent version is always at this URL with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be notified by email to your account contact.

11. Contact

Privacy questions or requests? Use the contact form and we’ll get back to you within five working days.
